Why we recommend it:  Laguiole corkscrews are regarded as the best in the world.  Who doesn't want the best??

Chateau Laguiole™ Olivier Poussier (2000) Waiter's Corkscrew:  Olivier Poussier is the winner of the Best Sommelier of the World competition from 2000.  Designed with his input this version the Chateau Laguiole reflects his preferences and comes in signed leather pouch. For his commemorative Laguiole, he has chosen a Yew wood handle.

The Best Sommelier in the world competition is organized by the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale, a non-profit organization headquartered in Paris. Competition takes place every three years. At least 50 contestants compete. The finalists have to survive demanding practical tests to take the title. This includes a complete series of timed tasks including blind tastings and describing in detail those wines, and identifying eight spirits in three minutes.

A keepsake. The most prestigious corkscrew in the world, this exquisite professional corkscrew line continues to grow in popularity and has been expanded again in response to popular demand.

Each corkscrew is elegantly designed to include:

  • Long Forged Knife Blade.
  • Smooth Rounded Boot Lever.
  • Long Spiral.
  • Boxed in its own custom leather pouch.
  • And the Etched Bee Emblem (Napoleons symbol representing industry, efficiency and productivity) ensures that each piece is a genuine Chateau Laguiole.
  • Handmade in France.
